Why Mountain Neuro Wellness & Physical Therapy?
At Mountain Neuro Wellness and Physical Therapy (MNWPT), we provide education, support, exercises and holistic practices so you can take charge of your wellbeing after receiving a neurologic diagnosis.
There are many gaps in the medical model, especially for individuals with a neurologic diagnosis. Dr. Irina wants to change this by delivering educational workshops and webinars, community neuro fitness classes, one-on-one physical therapy and neuro wellness programs to fit the needs of the individual throughout their lifetime.
MNWPT was founded by Dr. Irina Fedulow Plante, PT DPT, board certified neurologic clinical specialist who treats the individual as a whole, not just the diagnosis. She sees clients with various neurologic diagnoses including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Vestibular disorders.
MNWPT is based in Truckee, California. Individual telehealth services are available to clients in California. Educational workshops and webinars and online community exercise classes are open to all.
Our Mission
We believe that any individual who has sustained a neurologic event should have access to high quality care to promote optimal quality of life.
More research continues to demonstrate that healthy habits, especially exercise can slow the progression of many neurologic diseases and reduce the occurrence of an injury or secondary neurologic event.

Neuro-Based Movements
Based on your function, recovery and goals, Dr. Irina will provide you with a tailored program that best fits your needs. Components of your program may include tai chi, strengthening, flexibility, guided imagery etc. with details addressing intensity, duration and frequency. All the strategies discussed are geared towards boosting your neuroplasticity (the brain's ability to rewire itself).
Nature-Based Activities
Who doesn't love to get outside? We can integrate your functional goals in an outdoor space taking your recovery outside the clinic walls. Depending on your preference, goals, functional level and needs, nature-based physical therapy can be included in your plan of care.
Evidence-based Practice & Research
Everything practiced and discussed at Mountain Neuro Wellness & Physical Therapy Inc. is based on scientific evidence and clinical practice. We will never advertise treatments or sell products that claim they are a "cure all." That's not how neuroplasticity works.
Dr. Irina
Irina is a licensed physical therapist with her board certification in neurologic physical therapy. She is passionate about everything neuroscience.
When she isn’t treating clients, teaching webinars or reading the latest research, she is probably outdoors with her husband CJ and son Yuri, cooking, gardening or doing yoga.
A fun fact about Irina is that she grew up with horses and has been integrating hippotherapy (the utilization of horse’s movement to promote functional outcomes) for the past five years. Outside of the neurological realm, she has also treated many equestrians. She is still trying to convince CJ they need a pony in their backyard.
Cash Pay
This means we can focus on your needs, not what your insurance says. The average cost for physical therapy co-pays range anywhere from $150.00 to $350.00 per 30-60 minute session and there’s no guarantee that you’ll have the same provider or one on one attention for each session.
You’ll have access to physical therapy sessions without limitations or surprise fees. Your sessions can range from 20 to 90 minutes depending on your schedule, functional level and goals. This can be done via telehealth or in person with Dr. Irina.
